Our story
Cloudberry Bakery Florida is an (Dutch) immigrant woman owned bakery located in beautiful Palm Coast, Florida.
I am Anouk, the owner and pastry chef at Cloudberry Bakery Florida. I specialize in gluten free, dairy free and vegan pastries, pies, cookies and bread.
Years ago when I was a little girl my mother baked a cake or pie for the weekend and as long as I can remember I helped her do that. When I grew up, I baked a lot of cakes, cookies and pies in my own home for my family.
Over 10 years ago I was diagnosed with different food allergies and intolerances. So, I had to change my diet and found out that gluten free baked goods are full of preservatives, sugar and other junk. I started experimenting making the cakes, cookies and pies I made before but this time vegan, gluten free and diary free. After 2 years I mastered most of that and went on to the next challenge: bread. I tried and I tried, but only partially succeeded. I threw out so much bread, I lost count. But I had some success and with that bread, cakes, cookies and pies I went to a market to sell my products, and I sold out! I knew then and there that there was a future for me in baking gluten free and diary free.
After going to farmers markets for almost 2 years I opened my own bakery. Bakkerij Puur in the town of Soest in The Netherlands. I hired a baker and together we developed more recipes. We made a lot of different breads, cookies and cakes. Our bread was our main seller at the bakery. Every day we had a lot of customers that kept coming back for what we made. And then COVID came, and I was forced to close my bakery, but to keep on helping the gluten free and vegan community I wrote a cookbook with a lot of the recipes from the bakery. It was a big success, and we still get requests for books to this day.
In early 2021 we moved to Florida and at the end of 2024 we moved to Palm Coast.
Now I am opening a cottage style bakery from our 100% gluten free home in Palm Coast. I am looking forward to making my vegan, gluten free and dairy free breads, cookies, cakes and pies available to you! You can find us at different markets throughout the week and we are starting a farmstand in the near future
